A practical guide

Where to put a photo album QR code at your event

A QR code works best where guests naturally pause: table cards at a reception, a sign beside the entrance, the back of an event program or a slide shown between speeches. Add one short line such as "Scan to see the photos" so people know what they will get.

Decide what the code should do before you print. For a reception or party, point it at the upload page so guests contribute photos while the night is still going; the upload page links to the album, so they can browse everyone’s shots too. For a finished gallery, such as a photographer’s delivery, point it at the album itself.

Print a few days early and test-scan one card. Because the code points to a fixed link, the same printed cards keep working when you change the design, add photos or close uploads after the event. A live slideshow on a screen shows the same code in its corner, which brings in guests who missed the table cards.

Why ImageAlbums

Made for sharing, not storing

Your album opens in any browser, looks right on phones and stays out of search engines unless you choose otherwise.

Guests add their own photos

The code can open an upload page instead of the album. Guests pick photos from their camera roll, add their name if they like, and they’re done.

Table cards in your album’s style

Print-ready cards use your album’s colours, fonts and cover photo. One large sign or four table cards per A4 sheet.

You stay in control

Hold new photos for approval, hide anything that doesn’t belong and close uploads when the event is over. Location data is removed from every photo.

How it works

Three steps to a shared album

  1. 01

Create the album and turn on guest photos

Pick a template, add a title and switch on “Let guests add photos” in Privacy and access. A free account is needed so you can review uploads.

  2. 02

    Print table cards

Open the printable card, choose the album theme and “Code opens: Add photos”, then print on card stock.

  3. 03

    Approve and share

Review new photos from your dashboard. Approved photos appear in the album and on the live slideshow straight away.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Visit the help center
Can guests upload photos by scanning the QR code?

Yes, when you turn on guest photos. The code opens an upload page in the phone’s browser; guests choose photos and send them without installing an app or creating an account.

Do I have to approve guest photos?

Approval is on by default, so nothing appears until you approve it. You can switch it off to let photos appear straight away, and hide or delete any photo later.

Does every album get a QR code?

Yes. Once your album link is generated, the builder shows a scannable QR code you can recolor and download as an SVG or PNG, plus a printable table card.

Will the QR code still work if I change the photos?

Yes. The code points to the album link, so updating photos, captions or the design does not change the code. Save the album to an account so it stays available long-term.

Do guests need an app to scan it?

No. Most modern phone cameras recognize QR codes directly and open the album in the browser.

One scan. Every guest’s photos.

Create your album, print its table cards and let guests fill it with the photos only they took.
