Share with the right people only

Create a private photo album only your guests can open.

Share photos with family and guests without putting them on the open web. Albums stay out of search engines, you can add a password or keep an album to yourself, and location data is removed from every photo.

A practical guide

How private is a private photo album?

Most online albums are only as private as their link. An unlisted album can’t be found in search engines, but anyone who receives the link can open it and forward it. That’s right for most events, because the link is the easiest thing to share.

When the photos are more personal, such as children, a memorial or a family gathering, add a password so a forwarded link isn’t enough on its own, or keep the album private while you choose photos. In password-protected and private albums the photos themselves are protected too: their addresses carry a short-lived key that only people who opened the album receive.

Why ImageAlbums

Made for sharing, not storing

Your album opens in any browser, looks right on phones and stays out of search engines unless you choose otherwise.

Three levels of privacy

Unlisted (anyone with the link), password-protected, or private (only you, while signed in). Change it whenever you like.

Photos stay protected too

In private and password-protected albums, each photo’s own address only works for people who opened the album, so a copied photo link doesn’t leak it.

No hidden location data

GPS and camera details are removed from every upload, so a shared photo doesn’t reveal where it was taken.

How it works

Three steps to a shared album

  1. 01

    Create the album

Upload your photos and choose a layout. Location data is removed automatically.

  2. 02

    Choose who can see it

In Details, pick Unlisted, Public or Private, and optionally set a password.

  3. 03

    Share the link and password

Send the link to your guests and the password separately, for example in a different message.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Visit the help center
Can people find my album on Google?

Not unless you choose Public and our team approves it. Unlisted, password-protected and private albums are never offered to search engines.

What happens if someone forwards the link?

For an unlisted album, the person who receives it can view it. Add a password if you want a forwarded link to be useless without it.

Can I change the privacy later?

Yes. Change the visibility or the password at any time; a new password signs out everyone who used the old one.
